Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan inaugurates the newly constructed Turkish embassy in Dhaka as soon as the situation in Corona returns to normal.
He expressed hope for a trip to Bangladesh. He also agreed to attend the D-7 summit to be held in Dhaka next year.
Wednesday (September 18) Foreign Minister. He met with Abdul Momen Erdogan. He agreed to come to Bangladesh there.
According to a Foreign Ministry statement, Erdogan also called for the expansion of the D-8 by adding new member states. He also made specific proposals emphasizing on enhancing trade relations between the two countries. This includes investing in new products, textiles, medicines and other sectors, avoiding existing tariff barriers. He hoped that necessary steps would be taken to ensure participation in trade fairs of both the countries.
According to the statement, the President of Turkey has proposed to allocate land for the construction of a modern hospital in Bangladesh with the financial assistance of Turkey. He also praised Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for providing shelter to Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.
He promised to stand by Bangladesh in all possible bilateral and international issues. Erdogan also promised to send more necessary assistance from Turkey in the Corona situation.
He expressed satisfaction over the regular meeting between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries at regular intervals at the Foreign Secretary level.
