PM Sheikh Hasina has congratulated new PM of Japan

Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has congratulated the new Prime Minister of Japan Yoshihide Suga.

The Prime Minister said he is looking forward to working closely with the new Prime Minister of Japan.

Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim said the Prime Minister extended his sincere congratulations to the new Japanese Prime Minister in a congratulatory message on Wednesday.

In his message, the Prime Minister said, “On behalf of the Government and people of Bangladesh and on my personal behalf, I would like to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to you for your appointment as the Prime Minister of Japan.”

The Prime Minister further said that your election is a reflection of the confidence of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and the people of Japan in your dynamic leadership.

“The people of my country also value the implementation of far-sighted policies regarding the welfare of the people of Japan and your positive attitude towards regional and international peace,” he said.

“Especially in the last decade, our two governments have become very close under an overall strategic partnership to strengthen and develop the mutual development initiatives of the two countries,” he said.

Expressing deep gratitude for Japan’s continued support, the Prime Minister said, “At the same time, I look forward to its continuation under your able leadership.”

In this context, Sheikh Hasina said she is looking forward to working more closely with the new Prime Minister of Japan for greater engagement between the two countries in all areas of cooperation.

The Prime Minister invited the new Prime Minister of Japan to visit Bangladesh in the shortest and most convenient time possible.
